With a large 48-inch diameter, it offers a safe and spacious area for your cat to run at full speed. Its lightweight design allows for easy mobility, while the durable plastic components make cleaning simple. A sturdy base featuring rubber bumpers and a steel bar ensures that this is our most stable wheel to date, built to withstand active use. Proudly made in the USA, this cat wheel is designed to last.

Inline Wheels
High-quality black 4" inline wheels made of soft polyurethane provide a smooth, quiet ride, thanks to precision-machined ABEC-7 ball bearings. For an extra touch, an optional LED wheels kit is available, using centrifugal force to power the lights without the need for batteries.

Traction Pads
We offer two types of traction pads, both made from non-toxic materials:

  • Printed EVA foam, which is softer and made from the same material used in the soles of running shoes.

  • Felt, which is more durable and can handle occasional scratching and stretching.

Wheel Material
The large wheel is made from non-toxic ABS material, injection-molded in our California manufacturing facility. We use top-quality machines and tooling to ensure perfectly crafted parts.

45-Day Risk-Free Returns
We understand that not every cat will take to the wheel, so we offer a 45-day risk-free return policy*. Returned wheels are recycled, with the plastic ground and re-molded into new parts. Steel bars and inline wheels are also recycled. The only non-recyclable components are the traction pads, rubber bumpers, and cardboard boxes.

*Contiguous US orders only.

Physical Benefits
Essential Daily Exercise

Burning off all that extra energy means burning more calories, which leads to stronger, more defined muscles and less pudge around the belly. It can take more time and work to get a chubby or sedentary cat trained to the wheel, but once you do, you’ll start to see them slim down into their more svelte selves.

Mental Benefits
Alleviate Stress and Boredom

Tired of late-night zoomies and scratched furniture? The Cat Exercise Wheel reduces stress and anxiety levels, leading to less destructive and unwanted behaviors. Over ten years of field testing has shown it enhances their well-being and can even alter their disposition to make them more relaxed and calm throughout the day.

Safe for Large Cats
Plenty of Room to Run

Bigger is better and safer! The Cat Exercise Wheel features a 48” diameter, giving your cat plenty of room to run regardless of their size. Unlike copycat wheels, there’s more than enough space for your cat to stretch out mid-stride—no cramping or forced curving of the spine. Your cat can hit their full speed in comfort on this giant wheel!

Replaceable Traction Pads
Premium Running Track

Traction pads line the interior surface of the wheel to provide your cat with a comfortable running experience. Our patterned pads (Koi, Jungle Leaf) are made from soft, formamide-free EVA foam, while our solid-color pads (Black, Gray) are made from a dense and durable felt. Foam pads are easier to wipe down and are more water-resistant, while the felt pads are more resistant to claw and scratch marks.

The traction pads are fully replaceable and can be easily swapped for new ones when they start to wear down.

Lightweight Design
Quick & Easy Assembly

Putting the wheel together is a breeze with One Fast Cat’s unique design. No special tools required—parts snap together by hand, and the wheel can be assembled in a matter of minutes. The minimalist design means few parts to fuss with, ensuring a streamlined and stress-free experience for you and your cat.

Even fully assembled, the wheel is lightweight and easy to move. Got company coming over? Just pick the wheel up by the ring and shift it over to the next room, no sweat.

Simple Cleanup
Hassle-Free Maintenance

Is the wheel starting to look a little dusty? Not a problem—just take it outside and hose it down! Fur, dirt, and urine wash right off the plastic, and the running track dries quickly in sunlight.

For lighter cleaning, the EVA foam pads can be wiped off with a damp towel, while the felt pads can be vacuumed with your vacuum’s hose attachment.

Local & Sustainable
Made in California

At One Fast Cat, we are committed to designing innovative, environmentally friendly products that not only benefit our community but also the environment as a whole.

The Cat Exercise Wheel uses recyclable ABS plastic to mold the wheels, allowing us to melt down any defective, miscast, or returned pieces and give them a second life as new parts. That means less waste in a landfill and less consumption of new materials for better sustainability and a reduced environmental impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Any breed of cat can take to the wheel! Active breeds like bengals, sphynxes, and savannahs will often take to it the fastest, but we’ve seen plenty of other cats use it too, from Munchkins to Ragdolls to mixed breed cats and rescues. It isn’t so much about the breed as it is the energy level of your cat and the amount of training you put in.

There are two factors to keep in mind when considering the wheel for your cat:

  1. Energy level: Cats that like to run through the house, climb every surface they can reach, and are constantly looking for ways to play and entertain themselves are considered mid- to high-energy and will take to the wheel most easily. Cats that prefer to sleep most of the day may take longer to train or may not be inclined to use the wheel on their own.
  2. Trainability: Curious, playful cats that can be encouraged to do simple tasks (such as jumping on a chair for a treat or with a toy) will be easy to train to the wheel. If your cat has no interest in this kind of play, it may be very hard to get them interested in the wheel.

Every cat is unique, and training time will vary depending on their energy level, interest, responsiveness, and the consistency of the training. On average, training typically takes 2-3 weeks for cats that have no prior experience with a wheel. Stubborn or low energy cats are likely to take longer. For the best chance of success, make sure you can commit to training your cat for about 5-10 minutes each day for at least a few weeks before purchasing the wheel.

The wheel is designed to hold up to 22 lbs, so it can accommodate most big cats. Exceeding this weight limit is likely to cause faster wear on parts and may compromise the base’s integrity. This item is not intended for use by larger pets or by children.

Heavier-set cats can definitely use the wheel as long as they are under the weight limit. It may take a little more effort to get them using the wheel, especially if they have a lower energy level than most cats. The key is in the training and making sure that the reward they are receiving is worth the effort until they start to realize how much they can enjoy the wheel without an incentive. Patience and consistency with your training routine are a must!

Once your cat starts using the wheel regularly you’re likely to see some weight loss, but this can be offset somewhat by muscle gain. Even if your cat’s total weight doesn’t drop dramatically, they'll become visibly leaner and more fit as they burn off excess fat.

The cat wheel can be cleaned by taking it outside and spraying it with a hose or wiping it down with a wet towel. Foam traction pads will wear down over time and can be replaced simply by peeling off the old ones and sticking on new ones.

Yes, the foam traction pads are meant to be replaced periodically. They function like big stickers, so all you need to do is find the seam between two pads, grab the edge, and peel it up and off. If the pad doesn’t want to come off easily, warming it up first with a hairdryer will help loosen the grip of the adhesive so that you can get it off.

Wheel is good/Felt pads are bad

The wheel is great for the price but the felt pads are making it very difficult to train the cat to use. The felt is slippery and not easy for their paws to grip like the foam pads. I’ve ordered replacement foam pads and would not recommend the felt.

Thank you for your review, Leah; we're glad to hear that you like the wheel! When cats are first learning to use it, it's not unusual for them to slip a little or step off the wheel, because they are still getting accustomed to stepping onto a moving surface and may be hesitant to settle their weight down fully each time. As your kitty acclimates to the wheel, you'll probably see them get steadier and more stable on it, even with felt pads. With that said, the foam pads are thicker, softer, and easier for cats to sink their claws into to help steady themselves, so we can see how that material might work better for beginners!

    Excellent title

    Excellent description of the wheel

Comment: with "kibble bribes" our Cat got on the wheel and walked and ran a bit the first day.

We're hoping she'll start using the wheel all on her own...but I expect that it will take a bit more coaxing with kibble treats over the next few weeks for that to happen.

I suggest that the wheel be set up on a hard surface. It could be slightly unstable if sitting on a soft carpet.
