All four of my stray adopted babies, three girls and one white male have been running on their wheel for three years.
Three of my four babies are 4 years old and the calico is is the baby of the family 3 years old.
I have just installed new leopard pads , still had some wear left on the original black pads but starting to shed chunks.
I also just ordered a set of lighted wheels. ( not arrived yet as of this mail ) .
Kittygirl, the first stray adopted and the queen of my family is spoiled to the wheel.
Kittygirl lives on the wheel and is possessive of the wheel. She thinks the wheel is hers.
Kittygirl is the video of her running on the new leopard pads.
They all were a little slow starting back on the wheel , just a few hours with the pad change. Cats can dominantly distinguish between red , green and yellow. So they were a little apprehensive with the yellow color compared to the original black pads.
Please post my videos on reviews.
The best money investment I have made for my four babies.
I personally added some wider wood slats to the base to make the wheel more stable since it is top heavy.
And I added some limiting straps from the top of the base to the center connecting post and across the top of the base wheel to wheel to stiffen and to completely eliminate the outward flex when cats are running at full pace so all of their energy goes straight to the wheel itself.
Thank you
