Cat Exercise Wheel
- Product Review (submitted on October 10, 2017):
- We've had the wheel for two weeks and it didn't take long for my Bengal to start using it. Right away he was curious, sniffing it but was cautious. Within a day I started training him with treats (although he loves to play with toys, he didn't respond to the toys on the wheel) and he slowly started walking on the wheel. Within a couple of days he started using the wheel on his own. He'll get on for a few seconds, walk, get off, get back on, and so on. I see him on the wheel probably at least five times a day (who knows how many times he's on it when my husband and I are not home). Recently he started running on it which is super cute. He doesn't respond to the treats on the wheel anymore. He'd rather do it himself. But, the main reason we bought this wheel was because my Bengal has a major cattitude in that he very rarely accepts petting. He barely tolerates my husband and he lets me pet him once in a while. Someone told us this would help him. I haven't seen much of a change in his cattitude, but it is something that he seems to enjoy and helps with all of his crazy Bengal energy. Overall, I'd say the wheel was a good investment. We do have two tabbies and neither one of them want anything to do with the wheel. Our five year old tabby got on it the first night (I was bribing her with a treat), took two steps and hasn't wanted anything to do with it since. Our three year old tabby hasn't been on it and wants absolutely nothing to do with the wheel. But, she's also the crabby kitty in the house, always hiding, rarely playing with the other two kitties so I'm not surprised she doesn't like it.
